Sports Bet Montana Pays Out Over $1.5M to Bettors and Retailers
HELENA, Montana (December 21, 2022) — Sports Bet Montana paid out over $1,509,000 to Montana bettors in the last week while retailers earned more than $49,000 in commission.
Football rises to 49 percent for the week ending December 19. Basketball finalizes the week with the 40 percent handle. Soccer and hockey each make up 4 percent of total bets wagered.
Bettors pocketed $1,509,414 in the last week while retailers saw over $49,400 in commissions.
Sports Bet Montana, powered by the Montana Lottery, was launched after legislation passed in 2019 became law. Sports Bet was designed to benefit Montana players, Montana businesses and Montana citizens.
The Montana Lottery was created by citizen’s referendum in 1986. Since then, it has paid over $774 million in prizes and returned approximately $302 million to the State of Montana and $83 million in retailer commissions.
