Arkansas Lottery Partners with Jackpocket to Celebrate Soaring Mega Millions Jackpot
New users enter code ARMEGA for free ticket
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. Aug. 7, 2023 – The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery is partnering with Jackpocket in celebration of the growing Mega Millions® jackpot offering new users a $2 Mega Millions lottery ticket for free via the Jackpocket mobile app.
Arkansas lottery players can access the free Mega Millions ticket by visiting play.jackpocket.com or downloading the Jackpocket app and entering the code “ARMEGA” at checkout. The code is for new users only.
With no Mega Millions jackpot winners since April, the grand prize continues to soar and sits at an estimated $1.55 billion for tomorrow night’s drawing. If the jackpot is hit, it will be the highest jackpot win in the game’s history.
“The rising jackpot is a source of entertainment and winnings for Arkansas lottery players while generating scholarship proceeds for Arkansas students,” said Eric Hagler, ASL executive director. “We are thankful for our players, appreciate our hardworking retailers like Jackpocket, and encourage everyone to play responsibly.”
Jackpot winners may choose between an annuitized prize worth an estimated $1.55 billion or a lump sum payment estimated at $757.2 million. Both prize options are before taxes. If the winner selects the annuity option, they will receive one immediate payment and annual payments that increase by 5% per year for 29 years.
The overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 24. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 303 million.
Mega Millions tickets are $2 per play. A player can also get the Megaplier®, which multiplies any non-jackpot prizes won with an additional $1. Tickets are sold in 45 states, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Every Mega Millions ticket purchased in Arkansas is a win for the state since more money from draw tickets go towards scholarship proceeds.
